Dedicated May 1, 1977, by Bishop Drawczak, our Marian Shrine has become an outdoor prayer area where many pause before work, during the day, and after work. Our Mother welcomes all with open arms.
At the foot of our outdoor crucifix is the Pope John Paul II Prayer Court inset with memorial bricks in remembrance of deceased loved ones and in thanksgiving for blessings received. Benches invite prayer court visitors to sit in quiet contemplation and find peace in the promise of Christ crucified.
The vestibule of our church was enlarged in 2007 with the addition of a warmly beautiful Gathering Space inviting everyone to linger and visit after masses. The spaciousness allows enough room for Final Visitation before a funeral or a receiving line after a wedding.
Since those early days, when volunteers cleared the land for St. Genevieve and St. Maurice Parishes, we have been a vibrant faith community with an active Parish Councils, commissions, organizations, volunteers, and out-reach programs. We have grown under the pastoral leadership of dedicated Priests.
As a diverse community, we come together and, like Jesus’ disciples of the first millennium, we strive to be of one mind and one heart in God. It is under the patronage of St. Genevieve of Paris and St. Maurice that we grow in our faith and knowledge of His ways.
